The 2nd Rossendale Scout Group Band took to the stage on the weekend to perform a 'Night at the Movies' — all for a great cause.

Working with producer Mike Cotter, the band put together a spectacular production augmenting music with lighting, projection, special effects and a cast list of over 30 young people from the local area.

Speaking about the concert MD Graham Helm told 4BR: "It was a tremendous opportunity for all the young people in the band to work with someone as creative as Mike Cotter in putting this whole production together. We hope the concert raised a significant sum of money for Cancer Research."

The concert took place at the Royal Court Theatre Bacup on Saturday.
