The Clifton & Lightcliffe Band recently held its Annual General Meeting where it was reported that the band had done well, both playing and financially over the last 12 months
Celebrations
There were two main events of the year; Promotion to the Second Section, and the bands first ever re-union which was held last November and brought together over 200 past members from as far away as Edinburgh and Buckinghamshire.
The senior band collected its first ever prize in the Second Section at the Hebden Bridge March contest last weekend, and later this month will be performing at Lake Garda Italy during a 7 day tour4BR
Pleased
MD John Clay reported that he was very pleased with the attendance at rehearsals and said that they were very fortunate to have a full senior band, a junior band with 30 members and a new learners section with 10 young musicians aged between 6 and 9 years old.

Band Person of the Year: Jane Clay (Tenor Horn and Secretary)
Best Player of the Year: Mark Crisp (Principal Cornet)
