New plans for Welsh College

The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama has unveiled new plans for expansion.

 

The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama has announced plans for a new building to provide their students with what they believe will be world class facilities to try and attract the very best talent from around the globe.

Target destination

They hope the new building will allow the very best students to both to study and perform, making Cardiff a target destination to study the performing arts as well as see them.

Facilities

The new facilities ill include an acoustically excellent 450 capacity recital hall, 160 seat theatre, purpose-built drama rehearsal space and a new arcade to exhibit the College’s award-winning design activity.

New build

Helen Dunning told 4BR: "The new build will provide a modern and exciting gateway to Cardiff, fully accessible and with outstanding green credentials, offering Cardiff a new arts venue and eating destination with views overlooking the beautiful Bute Park."
