Sellers International MD David Armitage has told 4BR that his plea for bands to come forward and take a batch of old Sellers band uniforms off his hands has been met with a fantastic response.

David said: "We have been contacted by so many bands that it has meant a decision as to who will benefit must be made from the first applications. They will be given to a deserving, non-sponsored senior band (based on the uniform sizes) and this will be notified to 4BR by next week. We do thank everyone who has phoned and sent e-mails and it shows the real face of “Brass Bands” in the Community."

Looking for 14

David is still hoping that the 14 or so outstanding uniforms can still be returned so that the lucky band can get every bit of extra help. "We are still hoping for any uniforms to be returned, there are 14 out there somewhere!"
