The very first Omagh Band Festival (Northern Ireland) will take place on Saturday 28th June.
Sounds of brass
Event organiser Boris Pinto told 4BR: "This event will bring the sounds of brass and wind bands from across Tyrone and Fermanagh to the streets of Omagh. The afternoon concerts in High Street and Main Street will feature Roughan Silver Band (Ballygawley), St. Mary’s Band (Tempo) and Omagh’s own St. Eugene’s Brass and Reed Band. There will also be performances by Murley Concert Band and Mike Reynolds’ Saxophone Quartet."

Gala Concert
There will be a Gala Concert in Strule Arts Centre featuring the Murley Silver Band (Fivemiletown). Murley are the current North Of Ireland Champions and have recently returned from a succesful tour to Norway.
They will be supporting local primary school brass players (led by Bob Quick) in a special concert performance which will recall the history of banding in the area.
