The eighty members of Macclesfield Youth Band and their guest soloist Mark Landon, principal percussionist of Foden’s Band, delighted a capacity audience recently at their Spring concert in St.Michaels Church, Macclesfield last week.
Wowed
Mark wowed the listeners with the xylophone solo ‘Robbin Harry’ followed by a speedy rendition of the impressive ‘Flying Mallets’.

William Tell
The band made the most of their guest star by including him in a ten-piece percussion arrangement of the 'William Tell Overture'featuring all of MYBB’s budding young percussionists before Mark captivated them with his beautifully controlled performance on marimba of Evelyn Glennie’s ‘A Little Prayer’.
