Rankings: May update

The latest World of Brass – 4barsrest World Rankings see significant changes following the recent Eupropean Championships and other contests.

The latest World of Brass – 4barsrest rankings see Cory Band back at the top following its victory at the European Championships in Stavanger, while Stavanger Band, Brass Band Fribourg and Brass Band Buizingen also made significant strides up the table following their excellent results in Norway.

Leyland’s victory at the Grand Shield sees the North West band consolidate its position in the top ten, with a further opportunity to do so now looming in September, when it will be joined by the upwardly-mobile BTM Band.

Flemish Open – won by Brass Band Buizingen
Fife Festival of Brass – won by Kingdom Brass
Grenland Entertainment Contest – won by Windcorp
Buxton – won by Pemberton Old Wigan JJB
Wansbeck Festival – won by Felling
East Anglia BBA – won by Ipswich And Norwich Co-op

The next update will include the result of the All-England Masters International in Cambridge
