Adapted by Paul Allen, the stage version of Brassed Off is gaining in popularity around the world.

Glenorchy City Concert Brass, based in the northern district of Hobart, Tasmania, is enjoying its time mixing it with the cast and crew of the Brassed Off production — grease paint, spotlights and all.

Rehearsals have been going very well, and the band is really enjoying the new artistic challenges and performance environment this production provides.Dean Hunt, MD, Glenorchy City Concert Brass

Musical Director, Dean Hunt, is looking forward to the opening night which takes place on Friday 13 June at the Mount Nelson Theatre in Hobart. The show is set to run for 7 nights and 2 matinee performances.

Dean Hunt told 4BRDU: "Rehearsals have been going very well, and the band is really enjoying the new artistic challenges and performance environment this production provides."
