New composition from Baker

It may have taken 9 months but Leigh Baker has come up with another new composition...

Composer Leigh Baker has come up with a new composition.

Pundit

And Jack Baker, born on Thursday the 8th of May is already a seasoned band pundit!

20 minutes after leaving Dewsbury Hospital on Saturday 10th May he was able to watch the second half of Gawthorpe Brass 85's Spring Concert at Ossett Town Hall — at only 2 days old!

Someone with a calendar and a mathematical mind may like to point out to Leigh the reason he keeps missing Whit Friday performances with Brighouse!4BR

Tribute

The concert was a musical tribute to Jack's nan, Susan Elsworth, (the inspirational organiser and founder of the GB85 organisation) who passed away in February.

Young Jack arrived in time to hear the 2 senior (3rd Section) bands perform "In Memoriam" specially composed by dad Leigh Baker. The concert featured performances from all of the musical ensembles from the Gawthorpe Brass 85 musical stable.

Paternity break

Dad Leigh is currently taking a short paternity break from The Brighouse and Rastrick Band and stepped down for the band's recent Swiss excursion. He will not be donning the purple tunic on Whit Friday but Leigh and Jack (along with 2 year old Lily and mum Rachel) will be supporting bands at Greenfield and hoping the weather stays fine.

Someone with a calendar and a mathematical mind may like to point out to Leigh the reason he keeps missing Whit Friday performances with Brighouse!
