Buxton Contest

There looks to be a good turn out of bands for the weekend's Buxton Contest — so get along and enjoy the playing.

 

Twenty-nine bands are lined up to provide a feast of music at the Buxton Brass Band Festival next Sunday (4th May).

The day at the Pavilion Gardens will start at 9.45am. The adjudicators are John Berryman for Third, Second and Championship with Steve Pritchard-Jones judging the thirteen bands in the Fourth Section.

The Marple Band

March 5 • Marple Band are looking to fill the following vacancies. Cornet( back row), Bb Bass and Kit percussionist vacancies to join our fabulous band. We are a friendly ambitious 2nd Section band.


Chelmsford Silver Bnad

March 5 • Front row cornet and horn players. We are a very friendly, active, non competition band established 75 years performing regularly in Chelmsford & Essex. Rehearsals averaging 25 players on Wednesday evening at Broomfield Methodist church Chelmsford CM1 7AG


Dobcross Silver Band

March 2 • Following an exceptionally pleasing 1st result at the recent Area contest (2nd section, 4th place), we invite applications for the position of 2ND BARITONE. We are a friendly, progressive and social band!
