The Longridge Band has announced that they are making preperations for a visit to Almelo, Holland in October to celebrate 60 years of twinning with the City of Preston.

The band has taken the opportunity to thank the twinning committee for their donation towards the cost of the visit and state that they are looking forward to this event after their visit to Barcelona in October 2006.

Great atmosphere

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "There is a great atmosphere within the band at this moment in time and the tour will be a great way for the band to finish off 2008."
