The Scottish Co-op Band have appointed a new band manager in the person of Iain Howie. He will take charge of the band's affairs with immediate effect.
Ian began his association with the band as a player in 1968 and served in that capacity until 1988. During that time, he spent twelve years as band manager so the demands of the job will not be an entirely new experience for him.
Iain follows in the footsteps of former manager, Paul Kiernan, who recently stood down from that position to allow him to concentrate more fully on his conducting career.
