2008 4BR Money List

With less than a fortnight before the big bands of Europe do battle in Stavanger, there was money to be won at Youth level at the RNCM.

Money

With just a few weeks to go before the very best bands in Europe do battle in Stavanger for a big pot of Euros, there was money to be won closer to home as the very best youth bands in Europe headed for the Royal Northern College of Music.

Important cash

Each of the winners in the five sections picked up £350 with £250 for the runners up and £100 for third. Never mind the Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards on offer, it was the cash that really counted then!

Not enough

It was not enough to get any of the bands into the top 30 with Camborne, West Lothian, Hampshire, Smithills and Fred Longworth all now in joint 53rd place.

There was no prize money on offer at Truro or the SCABA Spring Contests.
