Boroondara promoted

Melbourne band, Boroondara Brass, now joins the ranks of the Australian top bands, having been upgraded from B Grade to A Grade.

Boroondara

The promotion comes after numerous years of success in B grade including seven Victorian State B Grade Titles, three regional A grade titles and numerous other contesting victories.

In the beginning

The band began as the Kew Youth Band under the leadership of Gary Bishop and became an Open D Grade Band, Kew Brass, under Tom Paulin. Multiple successes ensued and the band rose rapidly to Open B Grade under the banner of Boroondara Brass.

Huge Potential

We are thrilled at this opportunity to challenge ourselves and to grow musically. Our organisation has never been in a stronger position to embrace this challenge.”
