This busy period has witnessed the Regional Championships in the UK and major events in Australia, USA and Ireland.
In spite of missing out on the top prize at Bradford, Grimethorpe Colliery takes the number one spot for the first time since the rankings were first published, leap-frogging Cory, which slumped to third place in its ‘Area’ event in Swansea.
The next big test for these two ‘giants’ will be the European Championships in Stavanger, where both bands will have an excellent opportunity to extend their advantage over the chasing pack, led by Black Dyke and Foden’s Richardson.
The events taking place since the last update were:
Yorkshire Regional Championships – won by Black Dyke
