A View from Inside the Box

Open session on contest preparation

Following the annual general meeting of the National Association of Brass Band Conductors an open session entitled "Contest Preparation — A View from Inside the Box" will look at contest prepartation and band training from the view of an adjudicator.

This session is not restricted to members of the association and it is anticipated that conductors and players will be able to receive an insight into how adjudicators prepare for and evaluate contest performances.

Mal Brownbill will host the session that will provide the opportunity for all present to take part in a 'mock' adjudication session.

Anyone atttending is asked to try and provide a score of the first movement of 'Sinfonietta' by Gordon Langford.

This will commence at 12.30pm on Sunday 18th May 2008 in Christ Church Lower Church Hall, Chapel Lane, Eccleston St.Helens WA10 5DA

It is stressed that will be no charge for admission.
