Besses set for contest return

After their recent problems Besses o' th' Barn are getting set for their contest return.

Besses

Following the success of their recent open rehearsal Besses o' th' Barn has announced that they will not only be competing in the Spring Festival at Blackpool, but are considering entering the Buxton Festival Contest the week before too.

Due to the recent recruitment of new and experienced players the band are progressing well and will be ready to proudly take the contest stage again.

After we had to withdraw from the Areas I was devastated. However, I'm looking forward to taking the band to Buxton and the Spring Festival. Rehearsals are going well and the progress is goodMD John North

Looking forward

Following a productive AGM they now have an enthusiastic and energetic committee, and Besses believe they are now in a position to progress and return to the contest arena with confidence.

Going well

Conductor John North told 4BR: "After we had to withdraw from the Areas I was devastated. However, I'm looking forward to taking the band to Buxton and the Spring Festival. Rehearsals are going well and the progress is good."
