Newsome to lead workshop

Dr Roy Newsome to lead workshop in Gravesend.

The Number 1 Area of the National Association of Brass Band Conductors (NABBC) will be holding a workshop on Saturday 26th April at 1.30pm.

The workshop should be concluded by 4.30pm and will be led by Dr Roy Newsome and Melvin White with the KM Medway Band.

Workshop

The event will be held at Gravesend Salvation Army Hall, 34, The Grove, Gravesend.

The workshop will look at how to prepare a piece of music for either a concert or contest.

The pieces of music selected to be prepared are 'Paganini Variations' and a work by Ray Steadman-Allen from the Salvation Army catalogue4BR

Admission is free to members of the NABBC and to any other conductor who completes a membership application form on the day accompanied by the annual subscription (£30 for Full and Associate Members, £15 for students and senior citizens).

Information

Admission for non-members is £5 which will be payable on the day. However, everyone is welcome and the Workshop will be of great benefit to all players as well as conductors.
