Composer Phil Lawrence recently had the chance to hear his full orchestral arrangement of of "Deep Space 9" (the opening track on his album with Fairey "It's Not Unusual") at the Royal Albert Hall.

Complete with the hall's massive organ, harps, contra bassoons, bass clarinets, 6 trumpets, 8 horns, 4 troms, 2 tubas + the full orchestral set up, the 125 members of Redbridge Youth Orchestra will premiered it last Thursday as the opener to its bi-annual concert.

The Music Service Director for the local authority told 4BR: "Phil and I have been friends now for 20 years and as soon as I heard this piece on his new CD with Fairey, I knew I had to have it for our concert. Phil whisked the arrangement up in double quick time for us and it really made a sonic impression. The audience could see the mothership landing!"
