John Aren recently formed the West Michigan Brass Band, based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Director John Aren has used this approach before with his former plant, the Motor City Brass Band
(Detroit, MI) believing it to be a comprehensive orientation to the movement and the catalyst toward the continued pursuit of excellence in the arena of amateur performance.
The West Michigan Brass Band makes two debuts this week. It’s concert debut Thursday March 27th 7:30pm at Aquinas College. The band is certainly not holding back, with quite a few major works on the program, including: Journey Into Freedom, Gaelforce, Laudate Dominum, and Glorifico Aeturnum.
The band will then make it’s contesting debut by participating in the Open division. They hope to receive constructive comments that will lead them into a bright and prosperous future.
