The Northern Region Brass Band Trust is holding its 7th Annual Adult Instrumental Weekend on Saturday 14th/15th June at Ushaw College and Conference Centre, in Durham.

British composers

Led by Brett Baker the course will commence at 9.30am each day and will include all meals and one nights accommodation in single rooms. There will be a charge for this event.

This year's programme will feature works of British composers such as William Walton, Edward Elgar and Philip Sparke and the climax will be a concert featuring the studied works.

Arrangers competition

Meanwhile July 19th sees the Trust holding an Open Day featuring young players from around the region. The culmination of this event is a concert featuring Tavistock Riverside Band with guest soloist where the band will feature the entries for the Arrangers Competition.
