The line up of principal players for the Easter Course of the National Youth Band of Great Britain has been announced.

Principal Cornet and Leader: Joe Murray
Soprano Cornet: Mark Harrison
Flugel Horn: Zoe Hancock
Tenor Horn: Andrew Moore
Baritone: Michael Wells
Euphonium: Matthew White
Tenor Trombone: Christopher Mansfield
Bass Trombone: David Chapman
Eb Bass: Benjamin Newton
Bb Bass: Jonathan Shaw
Percussion: James Foster

The band is currently at Taunton School for their Easter Course which concludes with concerts on Friday 28th March at the Winter Gardens, Weston super Mare and Saturday 29th March at The Octogan in Yeovil4BR

Concerts

The band is currently at Taunton School for their Easter Course which concludes with concerts on Friday 28th March at the Winter Gardens, Weston super Mare and Saturday 29th March at The Octogan in Yeovil.

Guest conductor and soloist

The concerts will be directed by guest conductor, Christopher Adey and will feature guest soloist Richard Marshall. Richard will be performing the Arutunian 'Trumpet Concerto', 'Concert Piece for Cornet' by James Curnow and the 2nd Movement from Denis Wright's 'Cornet Concerto'.

Meanwhile the band will be performing 'Spectrum' by Gilbert Vinter, 'Symphonic Suite', by Leighton Lucas, 'Shadow Songs' by Philip Wilby as well as 'A Forest Symphony' by Gavin Higgins.
