Wetherby Silver Band has announced the permanent appointment of Roy Roe as Musical Director.

Roy, who has gained a wealth of knowledge from his colourful brass band career recently took the band at the Yorkshire Regional Championships.

Sarah Brooks told 4BR: "We are confident that Roy will be an excellent coach and mentor for all members of the band, building and developing the team environment we have here at Wetherby."
