St Albans City will be holding an open rehearsal at St Albans Music School, Townsend Drive, St Albans from 8pm on Wednesday 12th March.

This open rehearsal will be a chance for those who are interested to hear the band play 'James Cook — Circumnavigator' by Gilbert Vinter — the area test piece.

People will get the chance to see the band at work under their conductor David Shead.

Intensive preperation

The band has already spent an intensive, but fun weekend in Leamington Spa preparing for the forthcoming Regional contest at Stevenage. After sectionals and several full band rehearsals over the two days, everyone was well aware of James Cook and his journeys!

Whilst everyone at some point managed to have a break MD David Shead worked tirelessly at every rehearsal.
