Hirst enjoys Chinnor day out

Conductor and adjudicator David Hirst recently enjoyed a day of invention at Chinnor.

Conductor and adjudicator David Hirst was delighted to be the guest of Chinnor Silver Band (Oxfordshire) last Sunday for an intensive day of sectionals and full band rehearsals in preparation for the Area contest.

Three Part Invention

David and the Band worked on the set piece "Three Part Invention" by Ken Downie.

David told 4BR: "Working with the band was very enjoyable and the band responded superbly, and the prior preparation by MD David Pegram made the day so much easier."
