Bandsman's holiday
John Barber, Fodens solo trombone and Stuart Dean, Desford's euphonium player came to visit and check on how Deano was settling in and find out how his band, Brisbane Excelsior were preparing for the Australian Nationals which take place in mid March.
Stuart also made his way down to the Ern Keller and played in Prestige Brass, the winning band, so it was somehting of a busman's bandsman's holiday.
