Kibworth alove and kicking

Despite the loss of MD John Berryman and some key players, Kibworth are fighting fit for the areas.

Kibworth

Following the untimely departure of some key players late last year, Kibworth Band and their Musical Director John Berryman have parted company by mutual agreement at Christmas.

Thanks

The band has taken the opportunity to thank John for all his hard work over the last six years, the highlight of which was winning the National First Section title in 2006.

Kibworth have therefore announced that they have secured the services of Jeremy Wise for the contest. He brings with him vast experience at Championship level and has worked with many of the top bands in the country4BR

New MD

The beginning of 2008 saw the appointment of Gary Wyatt as the bands new Musical Director and the start of the rebuilding process.

Gary has been working with the band since 2007 but due to a prior commitment, Gary is unable to take the band to the forthcoming Area contest.

Wise appointment

Kibworth have therefore announced that they have secured the services of Jeremy Wise for the contest. He brings with him vast experience at Championship level and has worked with many of the top bands in the country, Jeremy is also well known to the band after taking and rehearsing the band on several occasions.

The band is now set to take their place in the Championship Section of the Midland Area Contest and are confident that the rebuilding process will continue over the coming months in time for the Area contest and furthermore their appearance at the Grand Shield contest at Blackpool in May.
