The reigning Yeovil and West of England Champions,PolySteel Band has announced the signing of star tromboist Nick Hudson for their assaults at Yeovil today and the West of England Championships in Torquay in March.
Nick replaces the outgoing solo trombone Nathan Jenkins who leaves the band due to an impending fatherhood and has been an integral part of the set up at PolySteel for the last couple of years.
All the best
Musical Director Philip Harper told 4BR: "We are very sorry to see Nathan leave the band. He has played an important part in the band's success, not only through his performances, but also on the social side of things.
We wish Nathan and his wife well, especially for the coming months ahead. We are of course delighted that a player of Nick's calibre has joined the ranks for the next couple of months to cover the top trombone seat while we search for a replacement."
The band would also like to extend a warm welcome to Graham Boag who has joined on Bb Bass from Camborne Town Band in Cornwall.
