For the second year in a row Desford Colliery got their contesting season off to a fantastic financial start by bagging the top prize at Butlins.
The £6,000 won will see them top the table for a few months at least, whilst the likes of Wingates, Skelmanthorpe, Haslingden & Helmshore, Shirebrook MW and Eccles Borough have all put a nice bit of cash into their bank balances ahead of the regionals.
