Ambition and resources highlighted in latest NZ Mouthpiece round up

BBANZ President John Sulllivan highlights the importance of ambition being balanced by resources as long term investment and achievements are marked in latest Mouthpiece publication.

  The Mouthpiece is the official journal of the Brass Band Association of New Zealand.

The latest issue of 'Mouthpiece', the official journal of the Brass Band Association of New Zealand has just been published.

The foreword address from BBANZ President John Sulllivan highlights the importance of ambition being balanced by resources, and especially the contribution of volunteers who give of their time, dedication and commitment to keep bands and organisations running, year on year.

Youth

This includes the National Secondary Schools Brass Band training course which this year sees over 70 players take part in two ensembles, whilst there is also a feature on the 125 years of history celebrated by St Kilda Band and the continued success of Bras and Brass.

The next generation is also featured with Southern Youth Brass which just enjoyed its third annual course, and rising young percussion star Stacey Adams who played on the National Secondary Schools Brass Band and who is a member of Brass Whanganui.

There are also features on the latest Creative New Zealand Award recipient Anne Filimoehala as well as regular items on what is going on in the New Zealand banding world.

Bilton Silver Rugby Band
