Emily started playing with Buckhaven and Clackmannan junior bands, before joining Buckhaven's senior band two years ago, performing with them at the Cheltenham National Finals.
The member of the National Youth Brass Band of Scotland won the Intermediate Section of the Northern Counties Youth Solo contest earlier this year, and will begin at the RCS Junior Conservatoire in Glasgow in a few months' time.
Thrilled
Speaking about her move, Emily said: "I'm thrilled to be starting my journey with the band and I'm especially looking forward to seeing myself develop with them. Everyone has been so welcoming, and I'm excited to see what the future holds."
In welcoming their new signing, Charlie Farren, Whitburn Band Chairperson, added: "We're delighted to welcome Emily. She is a fine young player who has already settled in well."
