Following a successful registration drive, 75 young brass and percussion players from across the UK will enjoy taking part in the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain's 'Ready to Shine' audition skills workshops in London, Manchester and Birmingham at the end of the month.

A NYBBGB spokesperson told 4BR: "We're delighted that so many young players will benefit from fantastic days of music-making, learning and inspiration as they prepare to shine in future auditions."
Led by Dr Robert Childs and an expert team of tutors, the workshops will help young musicians build confidence, improve performance skills and gain valuable audition experience in a supportive and friendly environment.
Three days
The three days will be undertaken in a fully supported, inclusive environment, working in small groups with expert tutors, playing in ensemble sessions, watching demonstrations and taking part in Q&A sessions with tutors as well as meeting current NYBBGB members and ambassadors.
