Dutch Open welcomes competitors

The Dutch Open will feature 16 bands with their own-choice programmes in Groningen next month.

  The Dutch Open takes place in Groningen on Saturday 13th June

The Dutch Open Brass Band Championships (DOBC) will take place at SPOT De Oosterpoort in Groningen on Saturday, June 13th.

The contest forms part of the Groningen Brass Experience which takes place from Monday 8th June and sees a number of events take place across the city.

Line-up

16 bands from The Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany and Belgium will provide their own-choice 30-minute repertoire programmes. The line-up will include the first appearance of Hera Brass, a project brass band consisting exclusively of female musicians. An afterparty will follow the contest.

The jury consists of Marco Leibach; Quirijn van den Bijlaard; Karl Ole Midtbø; Tobias Terhardt; Margaret Antrobus and Bernd van Echelpoel.
