Partnerships
4BR was informed that the project will focus on providing high-quality, community-based learning opportunities. These will work in partnership with local bands, schools and organisations to engage new players of all ages, particularly in areas where access to brass instrumental education is currently limited.
However, before the funding application is finalised, Brass Bands Wales is keen to hear more from across the Welsh brass band community to help understand where there are vibrant areas of activity and where there are not.
Gathering information
The spokesperson added: "By gathering insight, Brass Bands Wales aims to ensure BrassBuzz is targeted where it can have the greatest impact, both in strengthening existing activity and in reaching entirely new communities."
The organisation is inviting expressions of interest from brass bands interested in hosting or supporting a learner group, as well as from tutors and educators keen to be involved in delivery. Interest in also requested from schools and community organisations looking to develop brass provision.
