Long held ambition

It will mark the next step in fulfilling a long held ambition of a number of people in the banding community to create a national youth band that embraces the musical talent throughout the island of Ireland.

Les talks about the amazing work that has been undertaken for 45 players aged between 13 and 23 to meet up to enjoy expert tuition and start rehearsing for an inaugural concert to be held on Saturday, 21st March at the Strule Arts Centre in Omagh, where the guest soloist will be Chris Robertson, the euphonium star of Brighouse & Rastrick Band.
