Yorkshire champion, Black Dyke Band will showcase their concert entertainment at Pudsey Civic Hall on Saturday 28th February (7.30pm).
Under the baton of Director of Music, Prof Nicholas Childs, it offers a chance to hear the Queensbury band in action as part of the Leeds 'Best of Brass' series just before they head to Huddersfield on March 8th to defend their Yorkshire Regional Championship title.
Repertoire
The programme offers a wide-ranging arc of repertoire to enjoy — from the opening Salvation Army march, 'Under Two Flags' by Bramwell Cole and the classic overtire 'The Black Domino' by Auber, all the way through to Peter Graham's celebratory 'Mill Town' and the rousing finale of Respighi's 'Pines of Rome'.
There will also be the chance to enjoy the band's star soloists with Tom Hutchinson, Siobhan Edwards, Adam Bokaris, Mike Cavanagh and Gareth Hand all taking their turn in the spotlight.
