80 bands line-up for Norwegian titles

There will be two days packed with musical action in Bergen next month at the Norwegian National Championships.

  The event takes place at Bergen Grieghallen

The Norwegian National Championships take place at Bergen's Grieghallen over Friday 6th and Saturday 7th February.

Once again there is a strong line-up of 80 bands looking to claim titles in the six sections of competition.

Title defence

Manger Musikklag will defend its title under the baton of Prof David King, with the winner representing the nation at the 2027 European Championships in Montreux. The set-work in the Elite Division on the Friday is a revised edition of 'Concerto No.1' by Derek Bourgeois.

The own-choice choices of the 10 Elite contenders will be played on the following day. Each of the other sections are all own-choice. 4BR will cover the event.
