Youth bands to British Open Spring Festival hopefuls can now book their place in the line-ups for the return of the Fleetwood Contest.

The event returns to the contesting calendar for 2026

Entries are now open for the Fleetwood Contest to be held at the Marine Hall, Fleetwood on Sunday 26th April.

It follows the news that the popular event would return to the contesting calendar in 2026, with the organisers already fielding numerous requests for early entries.

Latest addition

The contest marks the latest venture in the emerging partnership between Red Admiral Music Academy and Leyland Band, with MD Danny Brooks telling 4BR: "The Fleetwood event has been missing from the contest calendar for far too long.

We are delighted that it becomes the latest addition to Red Admiral's portfolio that strengthens our support of the brass band movement at all levels."

Youth to Spring Festival

Danny revealed that the event will include a Youth Section as well as act as a qualification contest for the British Open Spring Festival in 2027.
