SIDDIS announces line-up of bands and judges

62 bands will compete at Stavanger Konserthus for the SIDDIS Entertainment Championships.

The organisers of the Siddis Entertainment Championships that take place at Stavanger Konserthus on Saturday 1st November has confirmed its list of 62 competing bands, the draws and panel of adjudicators.

The event, which takes its name from a person who hails from the oil city, started in 1983 with a single Elite Division competition, with the First (1985), Second (1993), Third (1995) and Fourth Divisions (2010) added over the years.

Programmes

Bands have to perform programmes that last up to 24 minutes in duration in the Elite and First Divisions, 21 minutes in the Second, 19 minutes in the Third, and 18 minutes in the Fourth. There is a buffer of up to 1 minute, but time penalties thereafter.

Broadcast

The event will once again be broadcast by World of Brass through its Wobplay.com multi-media platform and will be presented by 4BR Editor, Iwan Fox. The action starts at 9.00am (local time).

November 25 • 2nd or 3rd cornet required to boost our back row. We are a non contesting band, but carry out numerous events across North Yorkshire. We will be doing a joint concert with Carlton Main next year.
