Brighouse
The trio have fans and admirers for their performances at major events and contests

The acclaimed trombone section of Brighouse & Rastrick Band will take a final contest stage bow at the British Open this weekend.

It follows the news that second trombone player Charlotte Horsfield will be relocating to London in the next few weeks. Since joining her colleagues Ella Newton and Stephen Lomas in 2019, the trio has gained respect and admiration for their performances on the contest and concert stage.

Fabulous musician

In posting a recent clip of the trio giving a solo performance in what was their final concert performance together the band stated: "While we're sad to see Charlotte go, we couldn't be prouder of everything she's achieved, and we wish her nothing but success in this exciting next chapter.

Since joining the band in 2019, Charlotte has been an integral part of shaping one of the finest trombone sections in the world. Not only is she a fabulous musician, but she is also a dedicated band member, a wonderful person, and a shining example of what hard work, determination, and kindness can achieve."
