The Queensbury Band announces partnership with instrument maker.

Black Dyke Band
The new collaboration will see the band receive a new set of instruments

The Black Dyke Band has announced that it has entered into a new collaborative relationship with Oldroyd Musical Instruments.

It follows the recent ending of the five-year sponsorship agreement with Geneva Instruments and will now see the Yorkshire champion supplied with a set of new instruments in the coming months.

Significant

In a joint statement between the Queensbury band and instrument maker they stated: "This collaboration is significant, because Black Dyke will work with Oldroyd Musical Instruments to create a range that incorporates the very latest technology and utilises state-of-the art manufacturing processes."

Speaking to 4BR, Tim Oldroyd added: "This is a very proud moment and an honour for all at our company to be associated with a band of such stature. Being able to collaborate with Black Dyke on developing excellence in what we manufacture is an exciting prospect."

Major partnership

In response, Black Dyke Music Director Professor Nicholas Childs, added: "After visiting the factory and witnessing such an outstanding production capability, we welcome the opportunity to work with Oldroyd Musical Instruments and are looking forward to developing this major partnership into the future."
