The new issue of Brass Band World Magazine Is now out and as usual is packed full of articles, retrospectives, interviews, news and reviews to keep you both informed and entertained.

Retrospectives

The May/June (issue 342) edition looks back at the 26th European Championships in Stavanger, won by Brass Band Willebroek.

It also saw victories for Brass Band Uberetsch from Italy in the Challenge Section, the Norwegian duo of Hordaland Ungdoms and Ytrebygda Skolekorps in the Youth Championships and Dutch conductor Jaap Musshenga in the Conductor Competition.

Meanwhile, in another banding contest by the sea, there are reports on the British Open Spring Festival victories of EverReady, Pemberton Old Wigan and Boarshurst Silver in Blackpool.

Features

There is a major interviews with Colonel Dave Barringer of the Royal Corps of Army Music, the pro-platform insight is provided by Aussie euphonium star Matthew Van Emmerick, and Tim Mutum looks back at a very special milestone marker in the history of Foden's Band.

The Centre Band is the rising French force of Brass Band des Gones and there is the usual plethora of reviews, news and features.

Petworth Town Band

November 6 • Petworth Town Band have vacancies for CORNETS and TUBA. We are a very active band with a very inspirational MD Paula Streeter. We rehearse once a week and would welcome all new players to the band
