Wantage to welcome White for packed day of music making

Sheona White will head to Wantage next month to lead a workshop and be the featured soloist.

Wantage Silver Band will welcome Sheona White to their headquarters on Saturday 28th June to lead a workshop day of inspirational tuition followed by an evening concert with the band.

Workshop

The workshop at Sykes Hall, Reading Road, Wantage (OX12 8FR) at 1.00pm will explore a wide variety of topics around playing and performing and is open to all.

It will be followed by an evening concert at The Beacon — Portway, Wantage (OX12 9BX) at 7.00pm.

Family concert

The family concert will be directed by Musical Director Chris King and will include a number of solo items featuring Sheona, who told 4BR: "I'm really looking forward to visiting and working with Wantage Band and performing some of my favourite solos. I'm also excited to meet lots of players at our workshop."
