The UK-based musical instrument manufacturer, distributor and retailer, has been presented with the King's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category for the second time.

John Packer Musical Instruments, the UK-based musical instrument manufacturer, distributor and retailer, has been presented with the King's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category for the second time.

The award recognises the outstanding international growth of the flourishing business and follows its presentation in the same category in 2018. Now in its 59th year, the award enables the business to use the King's Awards Emblem for the next five years.

Huge honour

Speaking about the achievement, Rob Hanson, Managing Director of John Packer Musical Instruments, said: "To be presented with The King's Award for Enterprise in International Trade for a second time is a huge honour for JP Musical Instruments.

The business has grown over the past few years, welcoming prestigious brands to our stable, and showing a tremendous level of agility and resilience in what is a fast-paced and continually evolving international trading landscape.

Inclusive brands

JP Musical Instruments now includes brands such as trombone manufacturer, Michael Rath Trombones and trumpet makers Taylor Trumpets, with Rob Hanson adding: "Rath Trombones and Taylor Trumpets are highly respected brands, known internationally for the quality of their instruments.

It's a huge honour to have sustained the UK manufacturing base with the acquisition of these prestigious brands, exporting these in-demand instruments to professional performers and enthusiasts all over the world."

Further expansion

Further expansion has come in recent months, with the purchase of Sterling Musical Instruments and the Rudall Carte woodwind range.

June 7 • Our Community Band is meeting on Monday {9th} and would welcome anyone who fancies an extra friendly rehearsal,with coffee and cake involved.. We rehearse in our bandroom at 11am its free and it open to all abilities.. No commitment required.

June 6 • Epping Forest band have a vacancy for solo horn. We are a friendly 3rd section band with a variety of gigs through out the year. We have our own band hut with close to links with London Underground central line and the M11 motorway.

June 6 • Front row cornet, solo horn & trombone players. We are a friendly, active non competition band established 75 years performing regularly in Chelmsford & Essex. Rehearsals averaging 26 players on Wednesday evenings at Broomfield Methodist Church Chelmsford
