Brass Bands England (BBE) will host their popular 'Bold as Brass' day at the National Coal Mining Museum for England on Saturday 7th June, an event celebrating the longstanding connection between brass bands and coal mining heritage.
Seven plus one
Seven bands will perform a march across the museum site before providing a 20-minute entertainment set for the audience to enjoy.
The bands taking part this year are Hade Edge Emley Brass, Maltby Miners Welfare, Hatfield & Askern Colliery, Thurlstone, Oldham Music Centre Youth, and Grange Moor.
In addition to the open adjudication, the audience will also decide on the destination of the People's Choice award. Audience members will receive a token to pop in the bucket of their favourite band.
There is still the chance to join the day too with one spot still available to fill, so if your band who like to be part of a great day get in touch at: emily@bbe.org.uk for more information.
