Fife Daytime Brass and Katrina Marzella-Wheeler will be hosting a special session for conductors aged 40+ who are women or identify as women on Monday 28th April (Noon — 2.30pm).

It offers the opportunity to either conduct a full brass band of talented musicians, or even sit and watch and learn about conducting basics in a relaxed, social and fun environment.

Conducting get together

Speaking about the initiative on her Facebook page, Katrina said: "I don't want to call this a conducting masterclass — it's not that style of afternoon. Let's call it a conducting get together!

It's all about opening the doors to a group of people who may have missed out on opportunities in the past and giving access to accelerate change, as well as sharing ideas and learning together (me included)."
