54 bands are putting their final preparations in place ahead of their appearances at Huddersfield Town Hall this weekend.

The event takes place at Huddersfield Town Hall

54 bands will compete at the Yorkshire Regional Championship this weekend at Huddersfield Town Hall.

Two Championship Section bands plus Black Dyke (pre-qualified) will represent the region at the Royal Albert Hall. Two bands in each of the First to Fourth Sections will represent the Yorkshire at the Cheltenham National Finals.

4BR will be covering each Regional Championship event this year, but will not be providing band by band coverage.

As previously stated Editor Iwan Fox said: "After 25 years of working to provide extensive coverage, my personal priorities and circumstances have changed. We will be there to listen to performances and to publish the draws and results as soon as we are able.

We will also look back on the events on the 4BR review podcast and will publish full news reports on each as soon as possible."

Saturday

Saturday 1st March will commence at 9.00am with the performances of the 10 bands in the Fourth Section to be judged by Anne Crookston and Benjamin Richeton.

It will be followed by the 11 bands in the Second Section (start time approx 12.50pm) adjudicated by Sarah Groarke-Booth and Steven Mead.

The day ends with the 11 bands performing in the First Section (start time approx 5.00pm) judged by Stan Lippeatt and Michael Alcorn.

Sunday

Sunday 2nd March commences at 9.30am with the 10 bands in the Third Section adjudicated by Michael Alcorn and Anne Crookston.

The climax of the weekend comes with the 12 bands in the Championships Section (2.30pm start) adjudicated by Steven Mead and Christopher Bond.
