54 bands to battle for Yorkshire Area honours

The line-up of bands has been announced for the forthcoming Yorkshire Regional Championships in Huddersfield.

  The Championships take place at Huddersfield Town Hall

The line-up of bands that will compete at the Yorkshire Regional Championship have been announced. The event will be held at Huddersfield Town Hall on the weekend of the 1st & 2nd March.

54 bands will take to the stage in the five sections. Two bands plus Black Dyke (pre-qualified) will represent the region at the Royal Albert Hall. Two bands in each of the First to Fourth Sections will represent the Yorkshire at Cheltenham National Finals.

Saturday

Saturday 1st March will commence at 9.00am with the performances of the 10 bands in the Fourth Section to be judged by Anne Crookston and Benjamin Richeton. It will be followed by the 11 bands in the Second Section (start time approx 12.50pm) adjudicated by Sarah Groarke-Booth and Steven Mead.

The day ends with the 11 bands performing in the First Section (start time approx 5.00pm) judged by Stan Lippeatt and Michael Alcorn.

Sunday

Sunday 2nd March commences at 9.30am with the 10 bands in the Third Section adjudicated by Michael Alcorn and Anne Crookston. The climax of the weekend comes with the 12 bands in the Championships Section (2.30pm start) adjudicated by Steven Mead and Christopher Bond.

Details of the Young Adjudicators panel/Adjudicator Experience Programme organised by the Association of Brass Band Adjudicators will be announced in due course.
