BrookWright Music: Jupiter from 'The Planets' (Holst arr. Andrew Wainwright)

A new 10-piece arrangement of Holst's 'Bringer of Jollity' cleverly arranged by Andrew Wainwright.

bROOKwRIGHT mUSIC
The iconic music of Holst has been neatly packaged into a 10 piece work

This inventive arrangement for 10-piece brass band ensemble was initially commissioned by Illinois Brass Band for the North American Brass Band Championships in 2020,

Bringer of Jollity

Jupiter is the Bringer of Jollity, and is the fourth movement of Gustav Holst's 'The Planets', composed between 1914 and 1917.

With its vivid depiction of the expansive and majestic spirit of the planet it is one of the most recognisable sections of the entire suite — conveying a sense of grandeur, optimism, and exuberance, offering both sweeping melodies and bold rhythmic energy.
