12 year old Neythen Powell-Jones is looking forward to performing at the upcoming Rotary International Conference in Plymouth.
The talented young Cornish baritone player and member of the National Childrens' Band of Great Britain will perform a 20-minute recital accompanied by his tutor Ross Farr-Semmens to a packed hall of delegates.
Invite
Rotary District Governor, Tony Williams told 4BR: "We heard Neythen perform at the Camborne Music Festival where he was deservedly judged as the best overall performer. We were blown away by his musicianship and invited him on the spot to perform at the conference."
It will be a busy weekend of Neythen, who will also be competing the day before with Bodmin Band at the West of England Area Championships.
Baritone Concerto
He also recently took part in the Saltash Music & Drama Festival where he was awarded the highest marks for his performance of the Martin Ellerby 'Baritone Concerto' to go along with awards presented as being the 'Best Brass' and 'Most Promising Player' for the third year running.
